DC45E-2490S Micro Brushless DC Water Pump

NOTE: DC45E-2490S Water pump, 24VDC, rated power 40W @ 24VDC. 3-phase brushless DC design, soft start. Max. Static lift appr. 9m @ 24VDC and Max. Horizontal flow rate appr. 1350LPH @ 24VDC.

(CANNOT BE SELF-PRIMING; NO DRY WORK) Pay Attention: No dry work without water or with little water; otherwise, pump may be hurt. When users get pump, it’s recommended that a pre-test can be done in advance, then install to relevant application: get a bucket of water, locate the pump into water and power the pump with a matching DC power supply, check the work and performance of pump.

As to control box of pump, strictly speaking, it’s not recommended to be located in the water; if indeed have to, waterproof tape is recommended to be firmly wrapped in advance. Of course, location out of water is more recommended.

Package includes: 1 x DC45E-2490S Micro Brushless DC Water Pump, (No power supply is included: If power supply is AC/DC power adapter, output capacity of adapter should be 24VDC, >=2.5A.)

Kindly Note: It is only the whole set of pump that is included, with rated voltage of DC power 24V. NO power supply is offered. About the rectangle-shaped metal box, it is the controlbox (brain) part of the pump product, and it is NOT power adapter. Please be not confused.

Important Notes about Pump’s use & installation

• DC 24V power supply. No direct AC power powering or over-voltage powering.
• If it is AC/DC Power adapter, make sure that it can offer sufficient power to pump: output capacity be 24VDC, 2.5 or over (24V*2.5A ~ 60W). Note that Power supply cannot be placed in water or moisty location.
• Pump supports continuous long time work with relatively low noise at normal working environment. Land use or submersible installation can be either OK, yet pump cannot be self-priming. Make sure that fluid can actively flow passing through inlet/outlet because pump works via centrifugal force of high-speed rotation of impeller inside (to push/throw in-flow out). No long-time dry work without in-flow, or it may damage the pump (Even though DRY-RUN Protection is equiped.).
• Do NOT throw the pump or install it violently, as it could damage the pump body. Do NOT throw the pump directly through the cable, to avoid damage of cable. When at installation, please do not violently to break the pump’s bracket base part, impacting the external appearance and convenience of installation.
• FIX the pump somewhere when at work, avoiding its own moving-around due to reaction force when at work, which will result in factual pump's DRY-RUN even under water. Also, if it is a circulation system and water will drop back to the tank, avoid the pump installation directly below the water dripping down, to avoid a lot of air bubbles that flow into.
• When at installation, especially for long term work, do not place the pump upside down (outlet downwards, or inlet downwards). Do place the pump normally upwards, or at least sideways.
• Impurities shall be avoided, to avoid blockade of impeller due to impurity accumulcation. When for sea/salt water pumping, avoid crystallization.
• About power polarity: It is DC head connector in default: DC5.5*2.1 (compatible with DC5.5*2.5), INNER PIN + OUTER -. if naked wire connector, RED/BORWN wire is Positive, BLACK/BLUE wire is Negative. DC 24V.
• To avoid possible misunderstanding of relevant parameters, here we also say something about flow rate value & max static lift value of pump products.
• For static lift value, it means the max vertical height of flow column when outlet is connected with external matching hose/tube, working at rated voltage. For max flow rate value, it means the max flow rate of pump at horizontal level, working at rated voltage. The higher the height, the lower the flow; when height reaches lift value, flow rate becomes zero. Note that lift value and spraying/shooting height of pump are completely different. So dear users, please do not be confused by them. Meanwhile, certain deviation of around +-10%~15% is advised to be left when in relevant applications, to leave enough margin.

Dimension

[Wide applications] Low-voltage safety, high power-efficiency, low noise at normal work and supporting long-time continuous reliable running. This pump is widely applied for fountain landscape, medical equipment cooling circulation, air compressor cooling circulation, PC server water cooling, yacht/ vehicle water cooling, or other industrial, medical and household water processing systems. Pump cannot be self-priming, and it is important to make sure that there exists no dry run (especially for long time). Avoid impurities in the pumping systems.

About the use of micro brushless pump product, here are several notes and hope they can be helpful:

1, as micro brushless dc pump, it works via electronic commutation while not brush friction, so there exists no loss caused by brush friction. Pump works with relatively high efficiency. stator part is completely potted inside pump body with epoxy material and control circuit part is potted inside control box, completely physically separated from external fluid environment and completely waterproof.

2, Pump supports continuous long time work with relatively low noise at normal working environment.land use or submersible installation can be both OK, but it cannot be self-priming, just make sure that fluid can actively flow passing through inlet/outlet because pump works via centrifugal force of high-speed rotation of impeller inside (push/throw fluid out). No long-time dry work without fluid, or it may damage the pump.

3, Pump adopts soft-start mechanism and its start-up current increases gradually (step by step), so there exist no over-high start up current and is suitable for many stable power supply. Note that the max voltage of power supply is advised to be below 26DC(For model with 24VDC as rated voltage) when in application.

4, Pump can be suitable for high temperature fluid circulation application: note that when temperature is over 60C, the control box of pump is advised to be located in normal temperature environment for stability & reliability of electronics components inside control box, while pump body itself is of course OK to be located at high temperature fluid environment.

5, about power polarity: if naked wire, RED/BORWN wire is Positive, BLACK/BLUE wire is Negative; if DC head wire, Inner is Positive, Outer is Negative. Matching DC power supply.

6, to avoid possible misunderstanding of relevant parameters, here we also say something about flow rate value & max static lift value of pump products:

For static lift value, it means the max vertical height of flow column when outlet is connected with external matching hose/tube, when pump works at rated voltage.
