Detection Method:
You can check the level by placing an engineer straight ruler against the surface of the engine block or cylinder head.
When illuminated from the back of the straight ruler, it will be visible if there is a gap of at least 0.001 inches between the surface of the cylinder head and the straight ruler.
If there is a gap, it should be measured with a gap gauge.
This procedure must be repeated at 6 points of the cylinder head. If the gap at any point exceeds the tolerances of the engine, repolishing the cylinder head is required.
The included crevice gauge helps inspect strain on engine block, cylinder head, and flywheel.
