The refractometer uses light refraction through a prism to measure salt concentration. A larger reflex angle indicates higher salinity, while a smaller angle shows lower salinity. The clear boundary line ensures precise and repeatable readings.
Easy to Use
Just place a few drops of seawater or brine on the prism, close the plate, and read the salt percentage instantly.
Usage & Care Instructions
- Calibrate before first use for accurate results. Recalibration is only needed occasionally (every few months).
- Apply enough sample liquid to fully cover the prism surface. Avoid air bubbles or dry spots.
- Clean with a soft cloth after each use and keep the device dry. Do not immerse in water.
- The refractometer can test different liquids, but avoid prolonged contact with strong acidic or alkaline solutions. Clean immediately after use.
- Handle with care to protect the optics. Avoid dropping or shaking the instrument.
