Amtake SATA and IDE converter connects up to three separate hard disks with a maximum data transfer speed of 5 Gbps in conjunction with the USB 3.0 interface and is also backward compatible with USB 2.0 to meet your needs.

Widely compatible

The adapter supports Windows 10/8/7/Vista, Linux, Mac OS 9.0 to 10.13.3, PS4 and Xbox One. The USB 3.0 hard disk adapter is widely compatible with 2.5/3.5-inch SATA/IDE hard disks and SSDs up to a maximum capacity of 6TB.

NOTE:

1. for 3.5" IDE drivers and old SATA hard disks, you need to connect the supplied 12V/2A power adapter and 4-pin power cable. Please connect it well and turn on the switch on the USB3.0 to IDE/SATA adapter in the last step. Set the IDE disk to Cable Select, otherwise the computer will not recognize it

2. please use the supplied 1 meter USB 3.0 data cable instead of another long data cable.

3. if the device cannot be read, please connect the data cable to the rear USB port of your computer and try again.

4. check in Disk Management (or Device Manager) whether the connected SSD / HHD drives are recognized by the computer. If the hard disks are not yet partitioned, partition them before use. Otherwise, they will not be recognized by the computer or displayed in the disk management.

5. if the hard disk drives rotate but do not appear in Disk Management, try formatting and repartitioning them. Your partition method may not be compatible with this adapter.

6. if your drive is more than 2TB, please try to format it and use GPT (GUID partition table) to partition it.
