Step 1 heat-softening tyres.

Before installation, you need to put the solid tyre in boiling water for about 10-15 minutes to soften it. Then the tyre becomes more flexible and malleable, which makes bending and mounting easier.

This is the key to easy installation, and of course you can also use a microwave for this purpose.

Step 2: Add soapy water or Vaseline

Cover the rim and the inside of the tyre with soapy water or petroleum jelly. This makes the solid tyre glides more easily in the rim.

Please avoid using petrol or lubricating oil, otherwise the tyre will be damaged. It is also dangerous to use greasy or oily material. In case of emergency braking, the tyre can slip and rotate on the wheel.

Confirm step 3 direction.

Check the direction of rotation of the tyre before installing it. The lines of the tyre must face the front of the scooter. This is important as the beads of the tyre are used to drain water properly when driving on wet surfaces.

If you mount it in reverse, you lose grip and increase the risk of slipping.

Step 4: Install with tyre lever.

Place the tyre on the floor and the rim over the tyre. Place both sides of the rim on the inside of the tyre. Then place two feet on the rim so that it does not move. Slide the tyre lever between the rim and the tyre until the smooth tyre slides up, and go to the appropriate position in the rim.

Doing this alone is not always easy, so you may want to ask someone for help.
