Product Description

  • Is this the same as a passive HDMI coupler?

    No. This is an active HDMI repeater that amplifies the signal electronically, unlike passive couplers that simply connect cables without boosting the signal.

  • Does it require external power?

    External power is not typically required. For devices with weaker HDMI output, a 5V/1A USB-C power connection is recommended for optimal stability. Note: USB-C power cable and power adapter are NOT included.

  • Why do I get flicker, black screen, or no signal?

    Use high-quality HDMI 2.1 cables on both sides. Check orientation (Input → Output), remove adapters/KVMs, and try adding USB-C power. Update your device’s firmware and GPU drivers.

  • Why am I not getting 8K@60Hz, 4K@120Hz, or HDR?

    Ensure your source supports HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, your display supports the target mode, and use certified HDMI 2.1 cables. For best results, keep total cable length ≤ 30ft for 8K or ≤ 50ft for 4K.

  • Can it be wall-mounted?

    Yes. The coupler includes mounting screws and features a durable aluminum housing for secure installation in home theaters or AV setups.
