BIDI (Bidirectional) SFP optical module, also known as WDM optical module, is a single fiber bidirectional optical module. It achieves bidirectional transmission of optical signals on a single optical fiber through WDM technology
This type of optical module has only one port and uses filters within the module for filtering, thereby simultaneously transmitting 1310nm optical signals and receiving 1550nm optical signals, or vice versa.
It should be noted that BIDI optical modules must be used in pairs. Its biggest advantage lies in the conservation of fiber optic resources.
Our SFP Module JM-CN4051-LC20 (as a transmitter with blue pull-tab) is used in pairs with JM-CN4052-LC20 (as a receiver with yellow pull tab).
