Steps by Machine Type:

1. Fully Automatic Machines

Tab Placement: Insert directly into the water tank or dedicated cleaning chamber.

Program: Use the preset "Cleaning Mode" (some models require holding a button for 3 seconds).

Note: Reset the water filter/softener system after cleaning (if applicable).

2. Semi-Automatic Espresso Machines

Portafilter Cleaning: Place a tab in an empty portafilter basket, lock it into the group head, and run a shot for 20-30 seconds. Let it soak for 5-10 minutes, then flush with 2-3 cycles.

Group Head Deep Clean: Use a blind filter (no holes) for backflushing with the cleaning solution.

3.For most coffee machines with a water tank:

Fill the tank with 500ml hot water , then add the cleaning tab and let it dissolve completely. Run 1-2 coffee brewing cycles (without coffee grounds) to flush the solution through the machine. Refill the tank fully with fresh water and repeat 1-2 brewing cycles to rinse out any residue.

Water Hardness: Increase cleaning frequency in hard water areas or install a water softener.

Use hot water to dissolve it.
