3-2-1 backup as easy as 1-2-3

3-2-1 backup rule states that you should always have 3 copies of your data, stored on 2 different mediums, with 1 copy off-site. Here's how BeeStation makes this process easy, while also enabling set-it-and-forget-it convenience.

1. Internal restore points:
   1. When enabled, BeeStation automatically creates five internal restore points of each file for quick recovery in case of unwanted edits from malware or accidental deletions. However, it's still important to have your backups stored on alternate mediums to ensure your data is recoverable in any scenario.
2. External backup options:
   1. You can automatically back up BeeStation to a Synology NAS device using Hyper Backup (installed on the NAS).
   2. You can automatically back up BeeStation back up to most external hard drives as soon as they're connected to the USB-A or USB-C ports.*
   3. You can also manually copy files from your BeeStation to your BeeDrive with drag and drop simplicity through Windows Explorer or Mac Finder.
3. Off-site backup options:
   1. For ultimate protection, you can enable BeeProtect for fully encrypted and automated daily cloud backups with version history extending to 8 previous versions, giving you the ability to go back in time and see previous versions of files before they were corrupted or deleted.
   2. You can also back up your BeeStation to Synology C2 Storage directly from the BeeStation portal.

* Currently BeeStation can back up to most external hard drives, which includes ext3, ext4, FAT32, NTFS, Btrfs, exFAT, and HFS+ formats.
