Silica gel packets provide an economic and effective way of protecting against moisture damage during transit and storage.

The silica gel works by adsorbing and trapping moisture from the air, lowering humidity and preventing the formation of mold, condensation & rust in enclosed spaces.

Silica gel can adsorb up to 40% of its weight in moisture while remaining dry to the touch.

It will remove moisture at temperatures as high as 60°C, but it is best used at room temperature (20‐35°C) and high relative humidity (60‐90% RH).
Packet material is Dupont Tyvek which is made from high density polyethylene fibres. This makes the packets durable and tear-resistant while remaining lightweight and flexible.

In addition, it is low-linting and resistant to water, chemicals, abrasion and ageing.
