The game is for 1-5 players, ages 14 and up, and takes about 60-90 minutes to play. In wyrmspan, players will excavate new spaces in their sanctuaries, entice dragons to live there, chain together powerful abilities, and earn the favor of the Dragon Guild. The game is inspired by the mechanisms of Wingspan, but it has its own unique elements that make it a standalone game.
