How It Works: When a vacuum is being created in the tank by the vacuum pump the diaphragm on the switch gets pulled in - once the tank reaches 8-10 inches the spring on the diaphragm is pulled in enough to release the snap action switch on the end of the assembly, turning your pump off. Once your vacuum is released from the system by flushing your toilet, the spring is released, activating your snap action switch, and turning your pump on to create the vacuum lost.
