Safely Storing and Warming Glass Jar Contents

Step NO.1 - When storing food in your glass jars, leave some space at the top to allow for the contents to expand when frozen.

Step NO.2 - Let hot food cool for 5-10 minutes before freezing – allowing for the steam to escape before securing the lids.

Step NO.3 - Before warming frozen food, allow the contents to thaw. You can thaw frozen jars in the refrigerator or by placing the jar under warm running water.

Step NO.4 - Thawed food can be warmed directly in the jar by placing it into a bowl of warm water, running it under warm water, or by placing it in a standard bottle warmer on low with the lid removed.

Step NO.5 - Thawed food can be warmed by microwaving the jar, with lid removed, at 50% power in increments of 15-30 seconds until the desired temperature is achieved.

Step NO.6 - Avoid warming the glass jars in boiling water, a steam bottle warmer, pressure cooker or in a pot of water over an open flame or electric stovetop.
