Carbon electrodes pads are compatible with all Caremax TENS machines. They require the application of conductive gel before use in order to allow the electrical current to pass through the skin into the nerve system. They must be thoroughly washed and dried after each use.

Rubber electrodes are normally used by the patient who has sensitive skin or is allergic to the sticky gel.
