The water stones were chosen because they provide an optimal progression of grits to achieve a very sharp edge on the chiseled stone is essential for maintaining your water stones.
Sharpening Stones with Bamboo Base
This whetstone set has grooves of various sizes, so it is easy to sharpen tools/chisels. The 400 Grit red stone is an aggressive stone for dull edges. The 1000 Grit blue stone is used for polishing the edges. Keep them in water for 5-10 minutes and then keeping the correct angle and sliding them gently back and forth in the appropriately sized groove. It is also possible to sharpen triangular and round chisels in the convex parts of the whetstone. Additionally, the reverse face may be used as a standard sharpening stone.
