Powerful 4-inch woofer
The robust 4-inch woofer is based on a shortened, solid steel frame with powerful magnetic system. The long-throw design includes a coated pressed paper cone with concave dust cap, large rubber surround and vented pole piece for precise and dynamic bass response.
Silk dome tweeter with neodymium drive
The tweeter utilizes Micca's proven 0.75" silk dome design, combined with a highly efficient neodymium magnet and a form-fitting, narrow front bezel for tight driver arrangement. The acoustically transparent front grille is made of fine mesh fabric over a beveled, slim frame.
Elaborate 10-element crossover
A complex 10-element switch with high-quality foil capacitors and air coils ensures balanced sound tuning. Both high and low range operate at 18 dB/octave - this improves resilience, reduces unwanted directivity ("lobing") and optimises off-axis radiation.
Sturdy housing with optimised cushioning
Distortion and sound discoloration are effectively reduced by the use of 19 mm thick MDF panels on all sides of the case - with miter joints for maximum stability. The case is equipped with specially tuned polyfill filling to minimize resonance and improve case tuning.
