Beautiful black sketch-style illustrations stand out against a backdrop of white fine china, with a gleam that’s reminiscent of the Cheshire Cat’s mischievous grin. The designs are inspired by an Alice in Wonderland card game based on illustrations by Sir John Tenniel (1820 - 1914). Elements of each design, including the White Rabbit’s watch chain and the Mad Hatter’s bow tie, are detailed in gold, so they stand out against the black print.

On the sugar bowl, The White Rabbit frets about his tardiness, exclaiming ‘Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be too late!’, while Alice remarks 'Curiouser and curiouser!' on its other side. The jug depicts Alice at the Mad Hatter’s tea party, where he reassures her, ‘We’re all mad here’.
