The Kurayoshi 8 Year Old Pure Malt Whisky is bottled after aging in oak and finishing in sherry casks for a total age statement of eight years. It's still forward-facing and a little salty, but also has layers of leather and dried fruit and some bright candied orange peel on the finish. By no means a sherry bomb, it has just enough body and sweetness to give it a bit of depth. It is a great addition to any cocktail or can be enjoyed neat.
