Step 1: Dispensers

Use monthly on an ongoing basis

Our time-release devices continuously introduce a proprietary blend of beneficial bacteria for 30 days, which consumes excess nutrients.

Step 2: Supplements

Use months 1 and 2

Start working immediately to increase the beneficial bacteria count in water, which consumes excess nutrients. Supplements are more beneficial when used in conjunction with dispensers.

Step 3: Colorants

Use month 3 and beyond as needed

Improve the aesthetics and health of your pond by limiting sunlight penetration and keeping water cooler. Begin to use after water shows improvement from the use of dispensers and supplements.

Water colorants are essential once water clarity has been achieved via the use of Healthy Ponds products. Colorants shade the pond and limit sunlight penetration, reducing unwanted weed and algae growth. Simply toss in a water soluble bag and within 24 hours your pond will take on a beautiful appearance that will reflect the sky. Also helps make Healthy Ponds AquaSpherePRO more effective.

  • Easy to use, pourable, low-dust, granular formula disperses rapidly from the bottom.
  • Certifiable food quality dyes are natural and safe for fish, plants, pets, and people. Ideal for ponds, lakes, golf courses, farm livestock, fish hatcheries and aquascapes.
  • Always wear gloves, and protect your clothing when applying colorants.
  • Directions for use: Calculate pond volume: L x W x D x 7.5 = Total gallons. 1/2 ounce = 1/2 tablespoon (T.) Measure needed amount of colorant and broadcast from multiple locations when possible.
  • Add 1/2 T. for every 50,000 gallons of water. Example: To treat 100,000 gallons of water, use 1 oz. (1 T.) of pond colorant.

In addition to our pond care products, we offer all natural products for a variety of other applications, including bird baths, fountains, rain barrels, stock tanks, fish tanks and aquariums.

Helpful tips:

  • Water features that are refilled often may require higher dosages for desired results.
  • Gently broadcast granules into the water from an upwind direction, to aid in product dispersion.
  • Allow 24 hours for full product dispersion.
  • Retain usage rate records for future reference, and retreat every 30 days or as needed to retain desired color.
  • Rainfall, sunlight and pond conditions will affect how frequently you will need to reapply the colorant.
  • Water quality and turbidity will affect the amount of colorant required to maintain the desired effect.
  • To achieve and maintain water quality and clarity use Healthy Ponds 500,000 gallon AquaSpherePRO (51115).
  • For hard to treat water features use Healthy Ponds Blast (51131) or Vista (50007) as a boost treatment.
