DFF6 Foam Finishing Disc gives a swirl free finish when applying wax or sealant

Compounding and polishing paint – selecting the right pad:

Achieving a near flawless paint finish is easy if you follow a few simple basics. Meguiar’s DFC6 foam cutting disc is the perfect match with a compound to remove oxidation, swirl marks, stains and more with the MT300 DA polisher. The DFP6 foam polishing disc, paired with a Meguiar’s polish, maximizes gloss and depth. The DFF6 foam finishing disc is perfect for applying your favorite Meguiar’s wax.

Getting maximum results when applying waxes and sealants

1. Wash and dry the vehicle thoroughly to remove all loose contaminants with a pH balanced car wash like Meguiar’s Gold Class Car Wash.

2. If the paint feels rough to the touch after washing and drying, a clay bar should be used to remove bonded contaminants. Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Quik Clay Kit or Meguiar’s Smooth Surface Clay Kit come with everything needed to safely remove bonded contaminants and leave the paint as smooth as glass.

3. Light to moderate below surface defects such as swirl marks, oxidation, etch marks and fine scratches should be addressed with a Meguiar’s compound like Ultimate Compound and a DFC6 foam cutting disc.

4. If extremely fine below surface defects are present or if you want to maximize depth of shine use a polish like Meguiar’s Ultimate Polish and a DFP6 foam polishing disc.

5. Use the DFF6 foam finishing disc to apply your favorite paint protection, such as Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Wax, Gold Class Carnauba Plus, or Ultimate Wax.

Application Tips

• For best results, ensure car is cool to the touch and in the shade.
• Attach the DFF5 finishing disc to the DBP6 backing plate on a Meguiar’s MT300 DA Polisher.
• Apply a ring of your favorite Meguiar’s wax or sealant to the disc about ½” in from the edge.
• Remember a little bit of product goes a long way.
• Set polisher speed to approx. 3800 OPM’s and place the disc firmly against the paint before turning polisher on.
• Using light pressure and slow movements, begin spreading the wax or sealant over the paint, using overlapping motions to ensure even coverage and a thin layer.
• Follow directions for the wax or sealant being used, either wiping off excess after applying to a panel or two or waiting until all painted surfaces of the vehicle have been treated.
• Add more wax or sealant as needed, but do not overuse.
• Clean the car polishing pad frequently with a pad brush or compressed air.
• For ease of wipe off, use a Meguiar’s Supreme Shine Microfiber Towel.
