WHAT ARE U-JOINTS?
A critical component of the suspension of rear-wheel and four-wheel drive vehicles, a u-joint is a cross-shaped part that allows for side-to-side movement of the driveshaft. Depending on the design of your vehicle, a u-joint can connect the driveshaft to the differential, join the driveshaft to the transmission or connect two driveshafts together.
