34'Trilateral' is the latest album release from one of the most exciting and in demand saxophonists on today s international music scene. This is his fourth album to date and will be released on his own label Pathway Records. The album has a central theme, which is all around the number three. There were three trios recorded, all playing three tunes each, it was recorded in his 33rd year and all the titles somehow have three or a derivative of the number included. The first trio recorded was in New York with the great Clarence Penn on drums and Matt Brewer on bass. The other trios were recorded back in Paul s home country the UK, an organ trio with Ross Stanley organ, Andrew Bain drums and a guitar based trio with Phil Robson guitar Adriano Adewale percussion. Paul is currently a major part of the Steve Winwood band and his last two albums were recorded at Steve s very own prestigious Wincraft Studios by the awardwinning engineer James Towler. The combination of the fresh, original compositions by Booth, the superb musicianship displayed by all on the album and the warm sound, full of clarity, has given us one this years most exciting albums.34
