If you’d rather be looking in your rearview mirror at a DIY project than in the middle of it, Gila Static Cling window tint was made for you. It’s an adhesive-free, slightly thicker window tint film that uses the science of static cling to stay in place. Gila Static Cling and Static Cling Plus are both easy to work with, reusable and quickly removable.
Installation Tips
- Apply window film to the INSIDE of the window only.
- Use smaller pieces of extra film to practice before your first time installing.
- Installation & removal is even simpler with two people.
- While it is safe to apply the film year-round, we recommend applying the film to cool glass, avoiding direct sunlight.
- Do not apply film when the outside temperature is below freezing (32 F).
How To Install
We recommend purchasing the Gila Complete Application Kit (Item FS600), which includes everything you need to complete your window film project.
- Thoroughly clean glass surface.
- Measure the glass surface & cut the film 1" larger than the size you need.
- Remove the paper liner from the film.
- Spray the window with application solution.
- Apply the application solution generously to the adhesive side of the film.
- Starting from the top, apply the film to the window.
- Uniformly spray the outside of the film with application solution.
- Squeegee out any air bubbles or imperfections.
- Trim away extra film.
