Flensted Mobiles Flensted Mobiles is a small family business in Frederiksminde on the Danish island of Funen. At Mobiles, however, the company is very large, so Flensted is one of the world's leading suppliers of these balanced decoration highlights. Unusual for Danish companies is the high share of exports, which is over 90%. Christian Flensted founded the mobile label in his own home in 1956. He was an entrepreneur and artist at the same time. It is particularly difficult to balance the mobiles in such a way that they maintain the typical light and floating appearance. Therefore, Christian designed almost all mobiles themselves. Later, the company moved to an old school in Frederiksminde, where it remains to this day. In the 1970s, his son took over the direction of the mobile makers on Funen. The family still lives and works in the old and beautiful school building. There, the suspensions and some decorative elements are manufactured, managed, material ordered, stored, shipped and designed. The small works of art (which can also be very large) are mounted by many DIY enthusiasts on Funen. These also pack the finished mobiles in beautiful gift boxes. From the old school they are then shipped all over the world.
