  • Why are some fragrances stronger than others?

    Fragrance perception is influenced by style, notes, mood, and environment. Time of day and circadian rhythms can alter how scents are experienced. Some fragrances are soft and powdery, while others are bold and attention-grabbing.

  • Why do I need to let the candle burn to the edges on the first use?

    To prevent tunneling and a weak scent throw, always burn a candle until the wax melts to the edge. This will also stop the wicks from being drowned by unmelted wax, ensuring the candle stays lit.

  • Why do you say to stop burning with 1cm of wax left?

    We ask that you stop burning your candle at the 1cm wax mark as lower than this there may not be enough wax left in the candle to absorb the heat of the flame, which can lead the glass to becoming very hot and/or cracking.

  • Do I need to trim my candle wicks?

    Yes. As the wax level drops, the wicks effectively become longer so we advise that you trim the wicks to 7mm and ensure they're upright prior to each new burn.

  • Why is there a black residue forming around the rim of my candle jar?

    Trim wicks to 7mm before each burn or every two hours to prevent black carbon residue. This simple step ensures a clean burn. If residue appears on the glass, wipe it with a dry paper towel.
