How to Use Bear Claw Screws

Preparation Work

Confirm the installation location. Ensure the surface of the gypsum board is flat, clean, and free of dust, debris, or other obstructions.

Installation Steps

This double-ended bear claw screw features a self-drilling tip, so pre-drilling a hole is not required.

Place the screw at the target position on the gypsum board, then use a screwdriver to drive it directly into the board until it is firmly secured.

Load-Bearing Tips

For heavier items, try to locate the wooden studs behind the gypsum board and install the screw into the stud—this will provide much stronger load-bearing capacity.

If wooden studs are unavailable and the item is heavy, use anchors to assist with fixation. This prevents the screw from loosening or the gypsum board from cracking under excessive weight.
