Grapessed Oil

Grapeseed oil is a vegetable oil derived from the seeds of the fruit of the grapevine (Vitis vinifera), the grape.

This oil has a high content of essential fatty acids, oleic and linoleic. It also contains an important quantity of phytosterols, phospholipids and vitamin E, which gives it a great repairing and protective power for the hair.

Coconut Oil

Cocos nucifera L. (= Cocos mamillaris Blanco), commonly known as coco, coconut or coconut palm, is a palm from the Arecaceae family.

Coconut oil is composed of lauric acid’s triglycerides, it has an elevated affinity with hair proteins and, due to its low molecular weight and linear chain structure, is able to penetrate to the deepest layers of hair fibers. Therefore, it is highly recommended when formulating cosmetic products to protect and/or repair hair without weighing it down.

Mint (Mentha piperita) is a resistant and strong plant of European origin. It has a pleasant and refreshing aroma and is traditionally grown in gardens, but it also grows wild in fields, normally in shady and humid areas.

Peppermint oil is very beneficial to the hair, as it has antiseptic, regenerating and stimulating properties.

Avena sativa L., commonly referred to as oats, is an annual herbaceous plant belonging to the Poaceae (Gramineae) family, originating in southern Europe and Asia, although for some would presumably be native to Sicily.

Oats are made up of low and high molecular weight proteins, and those of low molecular weight can penetrate to the cortex of the hair fibers. This property makes them ideal for repairing, strengthening and protecting these fibers directly from the inside. High molecular weight proteins, thanks to their ability to form a film on the surface of the hair, are suitable as protective agents and hair softeners.

Aloe vera gel has been popularly used for years for the treatment of wounds, burns, cuts and various skin conditions. It is also a common ingredient in many cosmetic products, due to its softening and moisturizing properties.
