The Stanley FatMax Xtreme AntiVibe claw hammers have a larger strike face and narrow curve claw. They have torsion control, to prevent twisting, and a patented tuning fork design to reduce the effects of harmful vibrations. The one-piece solid forged head gives a larger sweet spot and better balance. The hammers in the range also incorporate a magnetic nail starter for hands-free use and a soft-grip handle, which reduces fatigue and allows for multiple holding positions. The Stanley FMHT1-151275 FatMax XL AVX curve claw hammer weighs 450 g (1 pound).

The Stanley Works, originally a bolt and door hardware manufacturing company located in New Britain, Connecticut, was founded in 1843 by Frederick T Stanley.
