The Napoletana coffee pot was born in southern Italy, where it is also known as "Cuccumella", and it is a symbol of Italian tradition. Preparing a Neapolitan coffee is a careful ritual that has become a true symbol of hospitality and conviviality. It is made of 99.5% aluminium with bakelite handles with anti-scald protection. The coffee obtained with the Napoletana coffee pot is characterised by an intensely aromatic taste and a light body. The ideal grinding degree is medium/coarse, not fine as with moka machines. The Napoletana coffee pot consists of a water tank (equipped with a handle), a filter unit consisting of the "shirt" and the filter lid, a container with spout and handle and finally a lid. The preparation is very simple: the water is poured into the tank up to about half a cm from the small opening (located on the tank); the ground coffee is placed in the "shirt" and the filter lid is then screwed onto it. Carefully insert the entire filter unit into the water tank and clamp it. Finally, the collection container is inserted, bringing the two handles into cover. The steam outlet from the vent hole indicates when the water has reached the boiling point. After turning the coffee machine, the water drips drop by drop and it seeps onto the coffee, which collects in the tank with the spout. The brewing time is about 5/6 minutes, then you can remove the filter unit and water tank, put on the lid and serve the coffee.
