Forstner drill bit for precise results The Forstner drill bit has an excellent service life for drilling precision bore holes. The tooth-shaped design reduces friction and heat, resulting in greater durability. The short centring tip of the precision drill bit has two main kerfs and a (tooth-shaped) peripheral kerf for exact results. The fast drilling precision of the drill bit is further supported by the large chip-free zones, which enable optimised chip removal. The Forstner drill bit produces smooth, splinter-free drilling of blind holes and can be used to drill on edges and bevelled surfaces e,g, to attach hinges, drill dowel holes or remove knots.
