Hip support for dogs
The hip support gives dogs support and a slight pressure on the joints and muscles of the hips and lower back. The support is suitable for dogs of all ages who suffer from arthritis, mild to medium hip dysplasia, have little endurance during use or suffer from hip pain. Plus, the hip support is ideal for dogs recovering from surgery or lesion and for older dogs who have difficulty moving.
As with an eight-leash, the hip support helps to reduce pain and inflammation during physical stress thanks to the support and stability.
In order for the support to work appropriately, the dog should be able to withstand the weight on both hind legs.
Signs of use of hip support:
- Light to medium hip dysplasia.
- Arthritis
- Low endurance during use.
- Hip pain.
- Lower back pain, weakness.
- Powerlessness or lameness in one of the hind legs.
- Post-operative support.
Size S: chest circumference 48 - 63 cm (weight 4.5 - 11 kg).
Size M: chest circumference 55 - 68 cm (weight 11 - 31 kg).
Size L: chest circumference 69 - 96 cm (weight 31 - 46 kg).
Note: As with all dog care products, consult your vet or physiotherapist. We do not recommend the hip support for degenerative myelopathy.
