We get it! We all have that doubt since you are purchasing something online and since we barely know each other...

Firstly when you feel a polyester satin fabric, it has a distinctly slippery feel under your fingertips. While it is slippery, it isn't necessarily soft. Pure silk fabric – because it is made from a natural protein – provides both a smooth and soft feel that man-made textiles just have not been able to replicate.

As silk is a natural protein fiberso it WILL NOT burn into ash like cotton or linen as they are not protein fiber, silk fiber however burns but does not melt, it shrinks from the flame and will burn into a bead/tiny ball and can be crushed into ash easily, like how cashmere or hair will burn.
