About Us
Kurgo was founded in 2003 by two brothers, Kitter & Gordie Spater, who grew up exploring the woods of Vermont with their dogs. They learned the importance of quality from their parents who were apparel manufacturers, retailers, and entrepreneurs. Kurgo designs & manufactures everything you need to Go Together with your dog whether going to the dog park or across the country on an epic road trip.
Each product we create is an innovative solution that makes traveling or being outdoors with your dog easier, safer, and much more fun. Kurgo’s product line includes everything from car seat covers and car harnesses for travel, leashes & collars for walking, to dog backpacks, coats and booties for outdoor adventures.
We’ll always be personally involved when it comes to design, manufacturing, and customer service. You can often find Kitter out back stitching together his next product idea, or Gordie traveling the country meeting with retailers, getting feedback to continuously improve our products and customer service process. As brothers with an entrepreneurial background and complementary skillsets, it was natural for them to work together.
Kurgo Hammocks
Dogs tend to get super excited during car rides and end up falling down, getting back up, and falling down again. You can keep your pooch safe and prevent him from falling by using Kurgo's Hammocks!
They also act as a soft barrier to prevent your pup's access to the front seat. The waterproof and stain resistant hammocks are designed to lie flat on the bench seat, they do not hang over your bench seat.
They feature a center zipper that can be unzipped to accommodate a human passenger in the back to accompany your pooch. You can also unzip it to store large items that require more space.
Multi-Use Seat Covers
Our hammocks are made with a 2-in-1 purpose where you can either use them as a hammock, or you can remove the front attachments and tuck them down under the seat to use them as a regular bench seat cover.
It's a perfect 2-in-1 investment whether you're traveling with your pooch or simply don't want your seats to get dirty from work tools, dirty shoes, supplies or beachwear.
