When to Replace Toner Cartridge

If your printer displays "Replace Toner / Toner Low" or if prints are becoming increasingly faded, it's time to replace the toner cartridge.

Drum Unit:

• Lifespan: Approximately 12,000 pages.
• Note: Requires a toner cartridge to function.
• When to Replace: If your printer displays "Replace Drum / Drum Life End" or if prints show black lines, indicating wear on the drum core, then the drum unit needs to be replaced.

Toner Cartridge + Drum Unit Combo:

• Combo Set: If you purchase the combo set, it can be directly installed and used in the printer.
• Separate Purchase: If purchased separately, the toner cartridge must be installed into the drum unit before the assembly can be installed into the printer.

Removing the Protective Cover

Open the package, take out the toner cartridge protective cover, and be careful not to touch the surface of the photosensitive drum with your hands.

Removing the Old Cartridge

Press the green release lever on the drum unit to separate the toner cartridge from the drum unit, then you can remove the old cartridge.

Removing the Shading Paper

For a new drum unit, pull out the black shading paper (no need for old ones). Align the new toner cartridge with the drum unit, adjust its position, and then gently press down until it clicks into place.

Shake Before Inserting

Gently shake the drum unit assembly from side to side before inserting it into the printer to complete the installation.
