There is a big difference between overlay and inset hinges so please know what you are buying.
Overlay means your cabinet door "overlays" (or overlaps) the cabinet frame and thus the door is perfectly flat on both front and back.
A type of overlay is a Variable Overlay, these only come in a face mount.
These are called Variable Overlay because your door does not have to overlap your frame by a set dimension (such as 1/2in. or so).
