The Sediment Filter works as the first barrier in the Reverse Osmosis System, removing solid particles like silt, rust and dirt from the water and reducing a significant percentage of contaminants in the water. It prevents the other filters from getting clogged with fine particles and reduces the risk of damages to the other components.

iSpring’s first stage Sediment Filter (FP15) features a 5 micron size, perfect for capturing most of the fine sediments in the municipal water and preventing issues from clogs and pressure loss with filters that have smaller micron sizes.

Granular Activated Carbon Filter

Activated Carbon filters can trap and absorb organic chemicals and chlorine from the water effectively with its ability of mechanical filtration and physical adsorption. It can efficiently remove odors and improve the water taste.

Furthermore, the iSpring 2nd stage Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) filter (FG15) includes special carbon media that can efficiently prevent bacteria colony growth in your RO systems in order to prolong the lifespan of the reverse osmosis membrane.
