Procedure: Place the oil checker between your thumb, index and middle finger and with the A/C compressor running, press the low pressure (suction wire - usually large A/C wires) 2 to 3 times. Leave the oil gauge upright for 3-5 minutes, then pick up the gauge and check the oil layer. (If the oil wire is 1/2 full or more, do not add oil to the system. If it is less than 1/2, add oil to the system.)
