Japanese Mugicha Barley Tea

Mugicha Barley Tea is a popular non-caffeinated tea in Japan. We carefully selected the barley from Shiga Prefecture in Japan. We blended the dark roasted barley and the lightly roasted barley which brings out a deep, roasted aroma and umami.

Barley Tea is caffeine-free, non-caloric and sugar-free and its roasting aroma has been shown to reduce stress and calm the mood. It is an excellent drink at any time of day for people of all ages. Mugicha is also a great drink in Summer as it has a cooling effect on the body while replenishing your body with nutrients.

Organic Japanese Barley

Organic barley in Japan accounts for only 0.8% of the total production. By cultivating three crops of barley, soybeans and rice skillfully throughout the year, weeds are suppressed, soil fertility is increased and fertilizer is reduced.

How to Make Mugicha Barley Tea

1. Put 1 tea bag and 750 cc of water int a kettle and bring to a boil.
2. When it boils, lower the heat for 5 minutes.
3. Turn off the heat and leave it for a while, then remove the tea bag.
4. You can enjoy the roasted flavor while still warm or chilled in the refrigerator.
