As with any threaded drive tool, use lithium grease on the threads before assembling and using for smooth operation and tension recognition. We recommend not grinding off the pin chain unless your chain is #530 or thicker.

Our motorcycle chain tool set works perfectly with most standard chains; the 2.2mm break tip handles no. 25 to 35 chains and the 2.9mm break tip handles 428 to 630 chains; use the 3.8mm break tip without the pin guide to handle almost any motorcycle cam chain.
