In the past, you would need to reapply the tattoo bandage covers every day, five days in a row. To avoid time-consuming inconvenience, we present our innovative tattoo aftercare product – Ink Guard film for tattoo healing that eliminates unnecessary hassle.

Now, the healing process will be easy, and everyone will get perfect healing in 5 days!!

What is its main feature?

The film has a special structure that consists of microscopic pores through which the skin can breathe. The secret of this film is that the skin beneath it gets ideal conditions for natural regeneration. The recovery process is much faster with the film, as it protects the skin from water and dust; in such conditions, the skin heals twice as fast. Post-tattoo care with our film does not require any actions; no need to rinse the tattoo, apply the cream or rebandage. The Ink Guard is comfortable to wear and very easy to peel off. The film does not irritate the skin and can be easily removed after the tattoo is completely healed.

It's good to know that all the advantages of the film lie in the biochemistry of the human body, namely in the ichor – a watery discharge from a wound. Ichor begins to discharge from the wound only after the bleeding has completely stopped - not earlier than after 10-15 minutes. The mechanism of its formation is as follows: from cells damaged during tattooing, special signaling substances are released, which increase the permeability of the layers of blood vessels. Therefore, the presence of ichor on the skin is an important point in the healing process.

When to apply the film?

It is permissible to apply it immediately following the tattoo session. In this case, lymph, ichor, and pigment remain trapped behind the coating, creating bubbles. It will not affect healing. Do not use any aftercare creams before applying the film!

The film can be used a few hours after the tattoo process is complete when the ichor and lymph have ceased to depart; in this case, the tattoo must be well cleaned before putting the film, which must be applied carefully and firmly to the skin.

How to apply the film?

The film's edge should be 1-2 inches bigger than the tattoo area on each side; please do not ignore this rule. If one piece of the film is insufficient to cover a single tattoo, it can be overlapped 1-2 inches. It is critical to note that the skin should be smooth and hairless since this allows for the optimum fit and removal of the film. Wipe the tattoo dry and begin to cover it with a film.

How to apply a film on elbows or knees?

To ensure that the film adheres effectively to the moving area of the body, it is necessary to stretch the skin as much as possible. If the tattoo is on the elbow, instruct the client to fully bend the arm and maintain this position until the film has been placed completely. Additionally, we suggest that you cover such areas with a film that has been cut into strips and overlapped with each other. Thus, the client will have an easier bending and unbending of the joint.

The healing process

On the first day, the healing process is invisible. Ichor begins to build behind the film around the second or third day, which is normal and indicates that the regeneration process has started.

The film will diminish over the next several days, and the tattoo will itch (DO NOT touch the tattoo) - this is also natural, and you should not be worried about that sensation.

Do not rub the film, do not scratch the application area, do not burst the bubbles with ichor (it can be mixed with ink) if they have formed, do not remove the film earlier than necessary. It is also not recommended to cover the tattoo film with anything. Your skin needs to breathe.

The fifth and sixth days are the ideal time to remove the film. Please follow the directions carefully before removing the film.

How to remove the film?

The film adheres extremely securely to the skin, and removing it can be quite painful. To significantly reduce the pain, we recommend the following:

  • Do not make the film wet! The film must be completely dry before the removal!
  • Remove the film carefully and without jerking, as it will dislodge from the skin much more easily.
  • Grasp the corner of the film and draw it away from the tattoo in the other direction, as if stretching it.
  • After removing the film completely, the glue may linger on the skin. The bond is completely harmless to the skin and does not affect the color.
  • To remove it, wash the skin with lots of soap and water for approximately 2-3 minutes. If any adhesive remains on the skin, apply tattoo care cream; the glue will be entirely removed the next time you wash it.

Please provide these cut-out QR-codes to your clients for the film removal instructions. We have developed special instructions for using our product so that your work would heal quickly and efficiently. Remember - the quality of your work depends on the tattoo's healing process.

- Remove the film only when the tattoo has begun to heal.

- Invite your client to remove the film after five days if possible.

- If this is not possible, provide quick INSTRUCTIONS to the client: Draw the film's edge in the opposite direction, at an angle of roughly 15 degrees. Remove the film gradually while maintaining tension. Do not make the film wet. Please do not remove it in the shower! After removal, wash the tattoo and soak it in warm, running water for 3-5 minutes to remove any residual glue. You cannot scrub or rub the skin with washcloths. After washing, your tattoo will regain its original brilliance. Begin taking care of your tattoo immediately with specific care creams!

What should be explained to the client before he leaves?

Please explain to the client that the film must remain firmly attached to the tattoo for the entire five days following application. The location of the film should be as permeable to oxygen as possible. You may shower with warm water but avoid steaming the tattoo place for the first five days.

The ichor will continue to be visible beneath the film for the first 24 hours. Because some of the colors will flow out of the skin along with the ichor, the tattoo may appear smeared. Ichor is the initial substance that initiates the skin regeneration process. Explain that this is a perfectly normal wound healing process. Bubbles may occur beneath the film at this point and can not be burst. The next phase is shrinkage of the film, at which time the skin will itch - this is a typical reaction to well-healed skin. Explain that scratching the tattoo might damage the film, leading to skin infections. If the film gets damaged, that area must be covered with a bandage, and it is no longer waterproof. After five days, you can remove the patch and follow the normal film removal instructions.
