3M Accuspray Atomizing Head 1.8 mm

3M Accuspray Atomizing Head 1.8 mm delivers fine atomization with minimal overspray, ideal for medium to high viscosity materials such as automotive primers, lacquers or adhesives. Suitable for any Accuspray replaceable atomizing head spray gun and designed for 3M Accuspray ONE Spray Guns, the see-through head can be easily removed and replaced – essentially a new spray gun on demand.

A Replaceable Atomizing Head for Medium- to High-Viscosity Coatings

Offering easy cleanup, easy maintenance and quality on demand, 3M Accuspray Atomizing Heads, 1.8 mm is designed for fast, efficient application of higher-viscosity fluids such as automotive primers, marine and aerospace coatings as well as general industrial coatings. The head is designed to be easily removed and replaced, affording you the performance of a new 1.8 mm spray gun on demand. This 1.8 mm atomizing head is easily identified by its transparent marking, helping ensure proper application. The head itself is clear, allowing for quick visual confirmation that the head is clean to help reduce cleanup times.

Previously sold with HG18 spray gun PN16570, the 1.8 mm atomizing head is sold in kits of four (PN 16611) or individually (PN 16585). Designed for use with the Accuspray ONE Spray Gun and suitable for any Accuspray spray gun with replaceable atomizing heads, it is an excellent replacement head for the Accuspray ONE Spray Gun Kit PN16578. This kit includes five replaceable atomizing heads in 1.2 mm, 1.3 mm, 1.4 mm, 1.8 mm, 2.0 mm sizes, as well as an air flow control valve and gun hanger.

3M Accuspray 1.4 mm Atomizing Heads work with the Accuspray ONE Spray Gun, a central part of the 3M Accuspray ONE System for paint and fluid applications including automotive collision repair. Replaceable atomizing heads are clear so it’s easy to see when the head is clean, and the spray guns perform like new every time the atomizing head is replaced – the equivalent of a new spray gun, at a fraction of the cost. The benefits include reduced primer consumption, lower application time and less time for cleanup, plus a better finish which results in less sanding time. The end result: cleaner, more productive, more profitable collision repair operations.

No Need to Spend on Extra Mixing Cups, Filters and Strainers.

PPS eliminates the inefficient process of mixing paint and other materials separately and transferring them through filters and other equipment where product gets left behind, unused. Instead, paint and other materials are mixed and sprayed out of the same cup with a PPS liner, lid and built-in filter. You simply place a disposable liner within a re-usable paint cup. Then mix the paint in the PPS liner, snap the disposable lid (with built-in filter) in place and attach the locking collar to complete the PPS System. With just a quick quarter-turn, the assembly easily attaches to the spray gun body. Once you’re finished spraying, simply remove the liner from the cup and discard it. It’s that simple.

With a portfolio of five cup sizes (3 oz., 6 oz., 13.5 oz., 22 oz., 28 oz.), PPS is the most comprehensive disposable cup system on the market offering painters the right size cup for the application, reducing the likelihood of over-mixing and additional waste. And each PPS cup can be used for temporary protection of liquid coating materials for continued use – just use the included sealing plug. This system lets painters mix less paint, drastically reduce their solvent use, and spend less time cleaning spray guns and cups. It even lets them spray in any direction, including upside down, for consistent coverage and improved material usage. All told, the PPS system can improve operator efficiency by as much as 15%, and can save up to 70% on solvent usage alone. All of this adds up to a very clear cost savings across your operation.
