About Us

The Vallejo Company was established in 1965. In the first years the company specialized in the manufacture of Film Color, waterbased acrylic colors for animated films (cartoons). In 1969 the company moved to Spain; in those years many important cartoon studios were based in Europe. The special qualities and unique formula of Film Color soon became known, and the product was used by most of the important studios on the continent.In 1972 Amadeo Vallejo developed Acrylic Artist Color, the first acrylic for fine arts manufactured in Spain, and one of the first acrylic colors for artists produced in Europe. In this period, Vallejo also introduced Liquid Watercolor-colors for graphic design.

Mecha Colors

New formula acrylic colors with a satin finish, extra resistant and impact proof especially designed for airbrushing surfaces exposed to aggressive manipulation. Once dry, the Mecha surface looks the same as the original plastic of the model, while yet the smallest details of the original remain clearly visible.Mecha Color is not flammable and does not contain solvents.

Game Air & Game Color

Most of the colors in Game Air have their equivalents in Game Color, so that the modeler can combine both formulations and work simultaneously with a brush or an airbrush.The colors preserve all the smallest details of the model, they dry very quickly and after a few hours form a homogenous film of extraordinary resistance.Game Air performs exceptionally well on all surfaces; the adherence of the colors on resin, plastic, steel and white metal is extraordinary.Game Air is not flammable and does not contain solvents.

Diorama Effects

The placement of our model in a diorama or vignette gives it a reality, a background and a history, an added dimension and a reason for the humidity, the traces of mud, of the dry sand of the desert or the dark earth of the wooded landscapes of central Europe.The range of Diorama Effects offers the modeler everything needed for the reproduction of a terrain, with effects of sandy and dusty roads, or of snow, mud and water, all of which add to the realism of the setting and relate the model to its environment.Diorama Effects is not flammable and does not contain solvents.
