One Life Is Not Enough is the autobiography of a loved and admired artist called Auda Maclean.

She was born in 1932 in Central Queensland's Dawson Valley, where she has lived her entire life. Though not out of necessity, or even tradition. Auda lives on her family's 8,000-acre cattle property near her hometown of Baralaba because this is where she loves to live. She has travelled widely – especially across the outback (and also to the other side of the world).

Auda Maclean has won numerous awards for her ability to capture on canvas the beauty of the bush she so loves. While raising a family and dealing with the vicissitudes of bush life, Auda has constantly created beauty through art – her paintings. Now, in another form of art – as an author – Auda shares the story of her remarkable life.

Auda began writing this book in 2022 at the age of 90, and it took her two years to complete. She shows us that we can achieve new things at any age, provided we put in the work and persist.

In Africa, it is said that when an old person dies, a library burns to the ground. Auda Maclean's life story (her \"library\") – is kept magically alive in the pages of this heartwarming autobiography.
