The R1 is designed to extend the infrared (lR) control range of your Sofabaton X2 Universal Remote Control . lt allons you to control devicesthat are in different rooms or hidden behind obstacles likecabinet doors, by receiving commands from your SofabatonX2 va RF and re-transmitting them as lR signals.
Usage Examples
Control Devices in Another Room
Place the X2 Hub in Room A and the R1 in Room B (with a clear line of sight to devices in Room B). Signal flow: Hub (RF) → R1 (IR) → Devices in Room B.
Hub Inside a Closed Cabinet
Position the Hub inside the cabinet and the R1 outside, ensuring it has a direct line of sight to your devices. Signal flow: Hub (RF through cabinet) → R1 (IR) → Your Devices.
Pinpoint IR Control with IR Blaster Cable
Connect the included IR blaster cable to the R1’s IR Out port, then position the emitter head directly over the target device’s IR sensor—ideal for devices inside enclosed spaces.
