The ESP8266 NodeMCU V1.0 ESP-12E WiFi module can be used as a WiFi enabled replacement for an Arduino in many applications.

It runs at 80 MHz and has 4 MB of Flash memory, 11 digital I/O pins, and 1 analog input. The digital I/O pins support PWM, interrupts, and configurable pull-up or pull-down resistors. The module has built-in 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and can be programmed using the Arduino IDE.
