BioOne Activated B6 P5P contains pyridoxal 5U-phosphate (P5P) which assists in maintaining or improving general wellbeing. P5P is involved in the metabolism of nearly all amino acids, as a co-enzyme for reactions such as transamination and decarboxylation. P5P is a co-enzyme for amino acid metabolism, particularly in the production on non-essential amino acids. P5P is a co-enzyme important for neurotransmitter synthesis and may help maintain normal healthy nerve and brain function.

P5P is required for the conversion of homocysteine to cysteine in the transsulfuration pathway.
