Victron Temperature Sensor for BMV-712 Smart and BMV-702 will only work with a BMV-702 or BMV-712 battery monitor. Installation instructions are included in the BMV manual. If you use the temperature sensor, the second battery voltage and midpoint voltage monitoring are not available. This Victron battery temperature sensor allows the second channel of the BMV-702 or BMV-712 battery monitors to be used for battery temperature measurement instead of to monitor the voltage of an auxiliary battery. The BMV can store the temperature readings in is historical data store. The ASS000100000 comes with a short lead which plugs into the circuit board on the smart shunt.
