How long does it take to work?

When using a bedwetting alarm as directed, most children overcome the problem in 2 to 12 weeks. You'll know your child has beaten bedwetting after 14 dry nights in a row.

The DRI Sleeper Eclipse is a wireless Bedwetting Alarm for children. Bedwetting alarms are used by boys or girls, 4 to 14 years old, who want to break free from diapers and stop wetting the bed.

Good bedwetting alarms need to be loud and have a consistent sound. The Eclipse sounds its loud alarm at the optimum frequency for the ear, which helps with waking a deep sleeper (like a smoke alarm does).

Bedwetting alarms work on the principle of Learning by Association, so by using an alarm during sleep, children will subconsciously learn to associate the feeling of a full bladder with the alarm so that, over time, the sensation of a full bladder will do the waking just like the alarm did. Once this brain/bladder connection has developed, they will hold on to urine during the night or wake on their own to go to the toilet.

To achieve this, your child first needs to develop the habit of waking to the alarm, then getting up and going to the toilet. This can be challenging for children who are deep sleepers; in fact, more than 80% of parents tell us that their bedwetter is a deep sleeper.
