Herbie Hancock has played with Miles Davis and made a big splash on the Billboard charts in the 1970s with his numerous Jazz Funk albums on Columbia Records. Shortly before his long stint with Columbia, he recorded three albums for Warner Brothers Records. Treasure Chest was released as a two record set in 1974. It encompasses most of his Warner recordings from the albums Crossings, Mwandishi and Fat Albert Rotunda.
