'Deviant Nature' the new album by Sydney based musician and producer Kevin Purdy. This is Purdy's third solo album and, as with the first two albums, it has been welcomed and cheered into existence. In its first two weeks the album has become Album Of The Week on Sydney's prime alternate radio staions 2SER FM and FBi Radio, plus lots of buzz from all over globe.

This album takes Purdy's lushly layered signature stylings to even greater heights. It's combination of widescreen cinematic soundscapes, mixed with infectous melodies and soulful rhythms is a triumph.

Guests on 'Deviant Nature' include Jim Denley of Machine for Making Sense, on Sax and flute, Christian Houllemare from the Happy Hate Me Nots, Alex Crowfoot from ollo and a host of other great Australian talent.

Purdy's work is a combination of a lifetime as a multi-instrumentalist, composer and a major music enthusiast, absorbing an excessively wide range of sounds. He gloriously crafts a new music which tips its hat toward psychedelia, Lee Scratch Perry, Can, Gong, Folk, Soul, Ennio Morricone, Joe Meek, Eno, Charles Mingus, Genesis and 1,000 other sounds and ideas.

Our new Album of the Week is the 3rd gorgeous opus from Sydney producer Purdy, titled Deviant Nature. Produced and recorded by Purdy, he delivers cinematic, downbeat, electronic pop, this time with vocals from Alex Crowfoot (Ollo) and Donna Amini.
